Everything went good. I was in and out in 30 minutes even though it was very crowded. I filled out all my DL paperwork, took the test and paid the fee online before going. I highly recommend doing that. I did find it rather humorous that I had to cover my left then my right eye during the eye test. I can't remember the last time I drove with one eye covered.

2/13/24, 3:30-4:30: The gentleman working at window 6 and the young lady working at window 17 were both extremely kind and made my day :). Took me several tries prior at other locations to get my real ID but they made the process so easy and hassle free! Thank you both! I didn't get your names but you made this birthday girl's day a whole lot easier and happier!

Made an appointment online last week to change my last name on my drivers license. The guys that helped me were so nice and I was literally in and out of there in 10 minutes. They also were open and letting people in 15 min before opening to get people checked in. Highly recommend

No appt available for a salvage certificate I was looking for but the wait wasn't long considering how busy it was. All done in about an hour with new plates. Tip, if your replacing it getting new plates, bring your old ones. Employee was really friendly and understanding.

I've been driving in CA for over 30 years. This is by far the most efficient, friendliest DMV office I've ever been to. The people who work there are kind, good at their jobs and care about their customers. It's refreshing to have such a good experience with a government facility. This was our 2nd visit to this location. Placerville is pretty darn good too. Beats Bay Area DMV offices any day.

Pretty good DMV to go to. I definitely recommend having an appointment. Having an appointment will help you in the long run. Having your paperwork organized will help a lot as well so you're not scrambling at the desk. I was there twice in a couple days and both times all the employees were friendly and helpful.
