I did and it was relatively smooth sailing. If you're renewing your a driver's license, complete the e-learning course on the CA DMV website and you will not have to test in person. Be prepared with your paperwork when you arrive, especially if you're getting a REAL DI. Staff was mostly friendly, definitely efficient. Good luck!

I had a really good experience here. I went for the permit after taking the written exam online. Everything was smooth and clear. The representatives were extremely professional, kind and polite. They should put some free water machines there, though.

I highly recommend you make an appointment before you visit, if not just try to come early and you have to wait less than 1 hour. I came to obtain my real ID driver's license since I lost it, and it took 5 minutes no joke. Staff are very efficient. The common area is so clean and there is plenty of parking. I will definitely return to this location.

"First of all.... Make an appointment online! They were surprisingly fast for people that had appointments. Second.... Study the manual if you have to take the written test. They recently changed the test, and it's much harder than it used to be! In general, the whole place is a bit of an unorganized $hit$how, but the employees were surprisingly really nice. Did not expect that. Be nice to them.... They have a tough job dealing with cranky people all day. LOL "

Just went to the Hollywood DMV office on Cole to renew my drivers license, without an appointment. Got there at 4:30 and walked right in. There was no line or wait. Workers are friendly and helpful and plenty of free parking next to the building. Got out in 15 min.
