Arrived at 8:05 for walk in, was able to complete DL renew and Title name correction within 70 minutes. Staffs here are nice and efficient.
My husband made an appointment online. We checked in 30 minutes early and were seen on time. The DMV employee was very patient and helpful. The place was very crowded and seating was limited. Parking is also limited and the handicap parking is not near the main entrance.
Excellent experience! Came here at 8:15 as a walk-in for a real ID renewal and was out by 9AM. Rose and counter 8 was very helpful and professional! Thank you!
My visit to the DMV was spectacular. I got my tags using a machine. I needed a little help, so the person in line awaiting their turn after me, Was very helpful.And even helped me with five dollars,I had lost or used I don't remember. An now I have my tags. Thank you all in this world.
I went to the San Jose DMV as a walk in this morning. I arrived around 7:30 and was inside by 8:05 right when they opened, and the experience was surprisingly smooth. The lady at counter 22 was incredibly kind and helpful. She walked me through the entire process with patience and made everything simple and clear. What could have been a stressful visit turned into a very pleasant one thanks to her professionalism and warmth. Really appreciate her support and the great service.

This is my first time coming to this DMV to update my driver's license, and I must share my experience. I updated my driver's license at window 22, and there was a lady named Rose who helped me. She was very patient and professional, and it was a very good experience. I want to say that I am very grateful for Ms. Rose's help
San Jose DMV is very efficient. The staffs there are really helpful and friendly. I submitted my DL renewal application online and gave the confirmation number to the staff. I only waited for 10 mins and they helped on my case. I got there 16:25 and everything was done by 17:00. Super efficient!
Great place, love the service place is busy all the time but i recommend go at 12. Parking place is not too much hard to find parking place. But everthing is great
This is a DMV. We arrived there is no parking in the parking lot. The line was out the door. When we got in the ticket system went down. It was noisy. It was clean. And surprisingly all of the personnel were very pleasant. Though I was there for a very long time I did not hate my experience at the DMV I would not choose to do it regularly but it wasn't terrible.
I made an appointment. This made all the difference in the world! I was in and out, in no time. Everyone was friendly. The only bad thing was Parking. I drove around for quite awhile before I was able to park.
The long waiting in lines. They need to hire more workers at the DMV, so that the manpower of more workers would accommodate to help other people to take care of one's needs quicker. Otherwise the DMV on Senter road in SJ was still better then some others I've been to.
Took my 89 year old mom in to get a new ID and parking placard. The gentleman checking us in sent us to a window right away, he was helpful and kind. We checked in and in 10 minutes we were in front of the best young woman who listened and took care of all of our needs. Thank you DMV you really are getting things right.
This DMV only processes driver licenses and ID cards which is exactly what I needed. I moved from out of state and got my new real ID driver license. Entire process took 40 minutes. Majority of time was waiting to be checked in and taking the knowledge test. Make sure you have your documents ready and process will be smooth.
My registration was going to expire. Staff there is really professional and understanding. They helped me pay my registration even though Alma DMV said I could not make a payment in person until 90 days had past from the due date of my registration.
DMV is a necessary evil for operating a vehicle on public highways... but DMV employees, it's your job, you could suck it up and be a little nicer. But I understand, people are probably always trying to give you BS stories about their suspended reg. Lol.
