Used the “Get in Line” option online before leaving my house. Left for DMV when I had about 20 people ahead of me. Checked in at the front. Total time I was there was less than an hour without an appointment. I dealt with 3 different employees and each of them were friendly and professional. Best DMV experience I can recall having.

I’ve visited this DMV a handful of times now with an appointment and it’s always spot on. Friendly, helpful, organized, quick, clean. Whatever it is they’re doing here needs to be replicated in all DMVs across the state! Kudos to all the staff + management. Only DMV I’ll ever visit. Plus side that there’s always appointments available within ~2 weeks.

WOW.. didn't expect to have such a good experience at a government agency. the customer service and efficiency was surprisingly unexpected. You're better off making an appointment. Fill up your forms on line before heading out to DMV, to expedite your transaction. I passed the senior citizen written test, a lot of common sense driving questions.

The dmv is not as crowded as the other dmvs. The line was fast especially the one with scheduled appointment. I just wish the people that work there would smile more. I understand that they're tired and don't want to deal with difficult people but a smile would be nice to greeting.

I've only been to this DMV twice and this is by far the best DMV near San Diego!! Customer service is a 10/10, I always hate going to dmv but they make me feel welcome here :), shout out to Danielle (pink hair) ! She was my examiner for my driving test and made me feel super confident and gave me a lot of reassurance!!Thank you Danielle`

This place is a hidden gem. If possible, get in line via the website before arriving to help keep the wait down. Surprisingly, the staff is of huge help. Additionally, extremely nice. Total time on-site was roughly 25 min if that. Good luck Yelpers!

Me and my dad came in the morning once the DMV opened up to renew my drivers permit. The lines were moving fast for both appointment and non- appointments. The highlight was the lady working at counter number 9 (never got her name) was super sweet and attentive, also was the fastest getting through each customer!

If you have to go to a DMV I would suggest this one. Most of the employees seem friendly unlike others also the wait time doesn't seem unbearable. The one draw back is the cell phone reception is a no go, that's if you were planning to spend your time watching YouTube videos or shopping on amazon. My suggestion bring a gameboy or something.

Walked in without an appointment at 0700. Staff told us a new DL would take all day because of new computer system. It did 8 hours. Everyone on the staff was very professional. California needs more DMV's. That is the only way to make it less painful. Not the staffs fault for wait times. This is for the Oceanside, CA DMV
