I was very pleasantly surprise at the service I received both online and in person at the Sonora DMV. The people were helpful, courteous, patient, friendly and knowledgeable. I was unfamiliar with the process but was helped whenever I needed it.

I had taken my driving test today, i was super worried because of the amount of people that have told me i shouldn’t take it there and it was hard, but it was easier than expected. it was also quick, it helped that the man that was instructing me on what to do was super nice.

This is by far the best DMV I have been to. The employees are all very generous with their time and knowledge. They care that what you came for gets resolved or accomplished. You barely get 5 minutes in a chair when your number is called. It is a pleasure to do business with the DMV in Sonora, California.

We came from Riverbank to Sonora to go to the DMV. Not only is it a nice drive it is so much better than the DMVs in the Modesto Stockton area. As long as you get there by 8:00 you should have no issues we were in and out in less than 15 minutes, and d the staff was great!

Well, I have to say that the woman admitting us at the door was kinda snippy, and actually kinda rude to my husband. Apparently we were supposed to get a ticket from her with our number on it, but didn't. Fortunately, the guy who waited on us at the counter was much nicer and more patient. We were out pretty quickly, so I give them 4 stars for that!

Wasn't really able to accomplish what I had hoped but I have to say, Annabelle was a doll. The DMV gets a bad rap. Went in with plans to check stuff off the list while I waited, but I was in and out of there in seven minutes. Done & done.

I like this DMV if you make an appointment, but even then you end up waiting for some reason when no one else with appointments is actually ahead of you - not sure how it works. The employees are extremely knowledgeable here though and that's huge! (the yelp question at the end _ gender neutral bathrooms? WHO CARES!
