The number system is helpful, and the staff is half and half. The staff does not take time to explain things or ask the right questions. There is a lot of side conversation behind the main counter. Window 18 staff are very friendly, but that is where it stops. They do have lovely shaded areas outside, for the wait. If they improve their communication skills, this place would be less hectic.

They were slammed the day I went over there but every person behind those counters had a smile on their face when you walked up to have them help you it was a polite comment. Hello how are you today? What can I help you with? I can't believe they were in such good spirits, it made the ordeal of happen to go to DMV. Not a problem at all.

Showed up about 3:00 p.m. on a Wednesday. Didn't have to stand in line got my number right away. Only had to wait about 30 minutes to be seen and after that it went very smoothly and quickly. Way better then the DMV in Las Vegas!

I personally had a great experience here! I had an appointment for 9am and got here around 8:45am, got my number, etc. I was out of here within 20 minutes and the staff I had encounters with were all very kind! I'm used to Southern California DMVs where you spend the better part of a day there so I was pleasantly surprised by how quick this visit was. I don't know what it's like later in the day but the mornings are a great time to go apparently.

This was the most efficient and kind experience I've ever had at a DMV. Everyone was quick and my registration was handled perfectly. I had an appointment at 10:10- walked right up to the desk, then checked into the window within minutes and out of there in ten minutes. Highly recommend

The DMV opens at 8 am I arrived at 10 minutes till 8 and was number 11 in line and was in and out with registration in hand in about 10 minutes the lady that helped me was nice and friendly as any state office it was clean and shinny way to go staff at Yuba City DMV... Update I went for registration renewal I was in and out in about 10 minutes very friendly staff.

I feel like this place has really stepped up their game these past few years. The people at the triage desk aren't always knowledgeable but once you get your number it's pretty smooth. The text alerts of when your number will be called is my favorite part at DMV since I can hang out in my car while waiting my turn.

The DMV Kiosk is the best thing ever invented for ease of getting in and out of the otherwise treacherous DMV. Many people would just order their sticker, online and have it mailed, except, here's the kicker, the kiosk prints your license plate number on the actual sticker. So, stealing it would make it useless. It's definitely even more noticeable, when you have personalized plates and your sticker matches your plates.
