Last time I came was a wonderful experience you need to come in at 0730 am and get in line doors open at 8 am .the key is getting in early .the later you wait the longer you wait . Making appointments high recommended.
Chico is an excellent DMV! I've been there many times in the last 5 years with teens getting drivers license and renewals. Very friendly people in all windows!
I arrived around 9:45 and was out by 10:30 or so. The lay-out of the building is large with several windows and employees working. Very efficient. I didn't have an appointment but you really don't need it with how quick this place runs.
From beginning to the end our visit was very positive. Our agent was very pleasant and extremely helpful. Very much appreciated.
The last few times I went to this location the service was exceptionally. I was surprised at how polite and truly helpful the staff was towards us. I mean, if you don't mind dealing with Sloths, you won't be disappointed
I filled out the forms, took the written test and paid online and then made an appointment for the next afternoon. In and done...15 minutes. What a difference from the "good old days"!
The last time I was there they didn't let me smile, but this time I went to renew the lady was super nice, friendly, and she let me smile. All 3 of the people that helped me were very kind.
I was really impressed. There were lots of people serving at the counters, other reviews said there was only one person. I waited less than 20 minutes. I had moved and lost paperwork, and they sorted me out quickly and easily. In Sacramento it would have taken 6 hours. Its the best experience I ever had in the DMV.
Most of the time I get through the DMV fairly fasts considering how many people are there. But the wait over the phone is ridiculous. I just got my drivers license 2 months ago and my ID card STILL hasn't come yet. My temporary license is about to expire too.
They legit some real ones. They squeezed in my friend and I 10 minutes before closing. Love the Chico DMV. Great staff and atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend.
