Never been to the DMV on my own before and got in line thinking it was for appointments. It wasn't! The security guard near the entrance was very understanding and kind, I'm sure he has to clarify this for people all day but I appreciate it nonetheless. If you checked in, go take a seat and wait for your # to be called, that's all there is to it. Other employees were also gracious.
We had a driving test and had an appointment. There wasn't a check in through the website so at the appointment time we just listened to our name to be called. Then we went around to the driving test.
Previous experience, parking sucks took an Uber. Once their for license renewal everyone from the host outside, window lady and photo lady was FANTASTIC. Helpful and courteous. I recommend!!!!
I love the feature where you can "get in line" before you leave home. It makes the wait so much shorter.

This location is clean and there is actually enough seating. Cleark and Driving instructor were actually Nice and professional. No long waiting. Over all the best experience I've ever had at a DMV location.
I recently applied for my Real ID and it was a snap. I am so used to huge crowds at this place, but this time, although I had to wait awhile all was good. Service was efficient and quickly completed. My wife also went in for her Real ID as well and she took a chance and did not make an appointment. Well, they accepted her application anyway. She didn't have to wait very long. We now have our Real IDs. Be sure to do all your preliminary work for the application online. This will help a great deal.
I loved it! I went at noon and it was speedy, everyone was super nice and made it a priority for me to feel taken care of. Def coming here for my future DMV needs.
This was my first time obtaining an identification card, since I elected to stop driving after having driven my personally owned vehicle for the past 55 years. Health restrictions were the direct result for this decision. Nonetheless, DMV Long Beach get many kudos for running a smooth and efficient operation. I got there at 7:45 AM and completed my purpose for being there within 45 minutes. GREAT JOB by the staff of employees, especially Dominic!
Michelle and her team member Kimberly are awesome. Friday 10 minutes before closing to get great service with a smile is rare
Honestly I had a pretty easy/ good experience here. Definitely make an appointment online ahead of time. Very small parking lot which was annoying
There was very busy, but the service was quite quick. I took me 1 hour to get my license renew as a walk in, no appointment needed.
Yesterday I had my behind the wheel test with Debbie. Bless her heart she was so patient and sweet and made me feel less nervous. She gives great driving tips as you’re taking your test. Definitely recommend taking the test with her!
At 10:40am on 29th, a woman who is handling the main line and the appointment line is a Saint. The professionalism and demeanor is comforting, welcoming an absolutely out of this world. How she gets the patience to deal with all of us is beyond me. Thank you for your superior service.
I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth my appointment went. Staff was friendly, wait time was practically nothing, and the facility is well maintained. Enrique was super kind and helpful. I was in and out within an hour.
Very fast service I was in and out for my driver license renewal. The lady who helped me was very helpful with my other car registration
I went in to renew my license. I'd made an appointment so I walked into that line. Within 5 minutes someone came up and asked why I was there. She directed me to Room 2. I filled out the electronic application, got a number, and within 5 minutes was at window #5 where Jazlynn did a great job and was very pleasant. I filled out some info, paid, took the eye test, got my picture taken and was done. Took less than 30 minutes. And thanks again to Jazlynn for doing such a good job!
I must say that I had a very pleasant experience with this DMV. The customer service was really good, everyone was very polite and informative. I didn't have an appointment but I was in and out of the office in just 1.5 hours! I was expecting far worse. Can't do anything about the wait lines but the customer service seemed reasonably fast enough to accommodate so many people and be processing things faster thus making the whole experience good and quick.
